16U/18U Registration Deadlines

All 16U and 18U “A” travel teams must be registered and have all their required registration documents and fees to Jeff Dean by June, 4 2010.  RegisterASA.com has many issues that are prompting this early deadline.

2010 Team List

The deadline for 10U/12U/14U to register is today.  Jeff and I have been sorting through information all day and have compiled the list of teams we have as of this posting.  Please view the list on this site at “Youth/A Travel/Team List” and make sure your 10U/12U/14U team is listed.  If you think you should be on the list and you are not, contact Jeff Dean ASAP.

We will go through the other requirements in the next few days.  Everything needs to be to Jeff NOW!!!

How to Complete A.C.E.

This should work for the majority of coaches.

Each coach needs to login to RegisterASA separately.  When the Team Administrator added a coach he should have checked the “Send a welcome e-mail” box.  That e-mail would have been sent to the coach being registered (check your spam folder).  The coach can now logon to complete his profile and start the background check process.

If you never received the welcome e-mail, go to www.registerasa.com and click lost password.  A password reset link will be e-mailed to you (check your spam folder).

Depending on when you registered, your A.C.E. and background may have been included on your invoice or you may need to purchase it separately, it all comes out to the same cost.  We changed a setting in mid January.  On your “Homeplate” the A.C.E. will either say paid or purchase (included or not included with registration).

On your “Homeplate”, click Background check to start it.  Once the background check shows cleared you can start A.C.E.

Important Date: 10U, 12U and 14U Registration Deadlines

As per policy; all 10U, 12U and 14U “A” travel teams must be registered by February 15th.   Go to the registration section of this web site and view the registration guide.  All teams should also be familar with the “GFP-A Travel Team Policy”, also located on this web site.

“Gold” Classifier Results

Central California ASA would like to congratulate the Central California Dirt Dogs, the Fresno Force and Central California Krush for taking the top honors in our “Gold” classifying tournament.  We wish these three teams best of luck and hope they they all make their way to the “Gold” Nationals in August.  Again, Congratulations!

For 2010, ASA has their own registration program. The use of Virtual Tournament Director, VTD or Fastpitchsoftball.net are no longer an option.  The new RegisterASA.com site still has several issues, however, we may be able to muddle through it until ALL the bugs are worked out.

I have created a User Guide to help you along.

- $300 to cover the cost to run this thing

“Gold” Classifier Postponed

Bad news everyone.  I just got a call from the Buchanan staff (Sandra and Howdy), it started pouring rain about an hour ago and is now hailing.  I was informed that even if it were to stop now the fields could not be made into a safe environment for the players by the weekend.  So the Buchanan School District said we must reschedule.

We will try again next weekend and I will get a revised schedule out later in the week.  Sorry…
