Non-Profit Requirements

Below you will find the non-profit requirements set forth by CCASA. Each league is required to provide the following documentation to their respective JO Administrator at the beginning of each year…Before Registration!

One stage is required per year. Once stage 4 is reached, it will be repeated indefinitely. Starting stage depends on the leagues current status or status process. Please note that each stage requires a set of By-laws, a list of their current BOD and a budget.

JO Administrators and the “A” Travel Director should retain copies of their respective documentation and forward copies to CCASA for filing. Electronic copies are always best but not required. Documentation to be provided to CCASA:

Stage one: Tax ID number, Proof of filing for Articles of Incorporation, List of current Board of directors, Current By-laws

Stage two: Proof that you have applied to the IRS for a tax exempt status and have applied to the state for a non-profit status, List of current Board of directors, Current By-laws, one year budget

Stage three: Show letters of advance ruling from IRS and state, List of current Board of directors, Current By-laws, one year budget

Stage four: Show that the non-profit status is active, List of current Board of directors, Current By-laws, one year budget
